On Saturday April 2nd is the 7th annual WORLDWIDE PILLOW FIGHT DAY. Not sure why people do it, but I first witnessed it In Union Square, New York City. A huge crowd went at it with pillows that day, laughing and filling the air with feathers! It was a hoot to watch.
Well tomorrow part of this global flash mob will be held on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., although they are asking participants not to use down pillows because the make too much of a mess. Your favorite traveling duo is down in D.C. for a quick weekend trip to celebrate our 10th anniversary of being together, and to visit my lovely daughter. We're sure to make it... it is free.
This bit of whimsy in a world of strife is worth the effort to see in order to evoke the inner child.
