VISAS TO VIETNAM AND CAMBODIA

MONEY WELL SPENT
We just recently received our passports with the necessary visas for our upcoming trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. Following explicit directions from O.A.T., the tour company guiding us on this adventurous trip, we priority mailed the necessary paperwork, the required fees, extra passport photographs, and our passports to the recommended service provider in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.

PVS International charged us $755 for two multiple entry visas for Vietnam @$255 per person, and a single-entry visa to Cambodia @$115 per traveler and a $35 mailing fee. The fees included their service charge and consular fees. It was a bit pricey for us, but it was money well spent.

Not having to do the legwork was a big plus, and PVS was extremely efficient and knowledgeable and very helpful. We called them several times throughout the process, and someone always answered the phone immediately and had the answers readily. We had never been away from our passports for this long and we were worried they might get misplaced, but the professionalism of PVS appeased our angst. We were quite relieved when our passports with the appropriate visas were finally returned.

We are flying into Hanoi and touring the length of Vietnam. We then will travel to Cambodia for nearly a week, before reentering Vietnam. We fly home out of Ho Chi Minh City.

We could have opted for “e-visas”, but we wanted to have the impressive-looking visas affixed to our passports. Kind of makes us feel more “official”.

It is much better than a draft card. I had one, thankfully I did not need it.
