MADRID’S
BARAJAS
Currently in Madrid for a 2 ½ hour layover. We
flew in from Philadelphia on a fairly empty flight American Airlines flight. We’ll
fly to Dubrovnik on an Iberia flight.
On the
flight over we switched seats and Janet got a four-seat bed in the middle of
the plane and slept most of the way. I think the two glasses of wine and some drink
called “Dream Water” helped matters.
When
in Spain
The
airport is massive. I thought we were walking all the way back to Philadelphia
to another security check point for our connecting flight. No one looked at our
passports, but they did put our water bottles into some kind of analyzer, a lot
different than the TSA’s approach back home where it’s not allowed.
Currently
enjoying café con leche in some restaurant and sharing an Iberian Jamon bocadillos Jamon
is the Spanish version of Italian prosciutto. Janet likes to pose with legs of the savory critters.
